Suspicious Activity Surrounding Dogs’ Deaths Being Investigated
Our Animal Protection & Control Department is working in conjunction with the Loveland Police Department on an investigation involving suspicious activity surrounding two deceased dogs recently found in Loveland. The dogs, an adult female and a male puppy, approximately 6 months of age, were found deceased near Horseshoe Lake and the Big Thompson River, respectively. In both cases, the animals’ paws were bound. Results of the necropsies completed on the animals were not conclusive in determining an exact cause of death, and there is no conclusive evidence tying the deaths together, but we are encouraging anyone with any information to come forward by calling Crime Stoppers at 970-221-6868 or submitting an anonymous tip online.
